Day 1: Arrival in Delhi
On the first day of your Buddha’s trail tour after your arrival at the airport you will be welcome and be assisted to check into the hotel where you will spend your night in.

Day 2: Delhi-Agra-Varanasi (By Train)
The second day of your Delhi visit in the morning will see you transfer to the railway station where you will proceed to board an air-conditioned super fast train that will take you the next city that is Agra. While you travel in the train you will be served with breakfast as it will take about two hours to arrive in Agra. After your Agra arrival you will be assisted to go and visit the TajMahal. TajMahal is one of the great wonders of the world and is considered to be the most extravagant expression of love ever built for a woman. It is said that about 20,000 men had to provide labor needed to build the building for Shah Jahan’s wife.

Another great place you will have the opportunity to visit is the Agra fort. This is a fort that features rusty and majestic red-sandstone and it is situated on the banks of the river Yamuna and the construction was started by Emperor Akbar in 1566. At the same fort is the Diwan-I-AM which is referred to as the hall of public audience. This is a colonnaded hall of red-sandstone with a throne alcove of inlaid marble at the back. At this hall is where Emperor had public petitions.

When you will have visited all these places you will then transfer to the railway station where you proceed to Varanasi.

Day 3: Arrival Varanasi
On your arrival in Varanasi you will meet people who will greet you and assist you to get an ideal hotel that you will stay in. You proceed for an excursion later to Sarnath, a place where the Buddha preached his first sermon in the Deer park. You will realize that this place got the most impressive remains and also a modern temple. You will spend your night in your hotel in Varanasi.

Day 4: Varanasi-Bodhgaya
The next day in the morning you will be driven from Varanasi to Bodhgaya where you will book a hotel for your stay there. Bodhgaya is a spiritual place for Buddhists because it is here that Buddha got enlightenment. Bodhgaya remains one of the holiest Buddhist pilgrimage centers because Buddha received enlightenment here under the Bodhi tree. River Niranjana is also found nearby.

Later on you will have the opportunity to visit Mahabodhi Temple, Niranjana River, and Sujata Village.
At night you will go back to your hotel room and spend the night in Bodhgaya.

Day 5: Bodhgaya-Rajgir-Nalanda-Patna
On the fifth day in the morning you will drive to Patna and while travelling there you will get to see Nalanda and Rajgir. Rajgir formerly referred to as Rajagriha was a dwelling place of kings and it remains surrounded by the meandering river Banganga and 5 hills.

When Buddha was still alive Rajgir was the capital of a powerful kingdom of the Magadhan that was ruled by king Bimbisara. Rajagriha is surrounded by hills and caves and it used to be home to the spiritual teachers then.
After your arrival in Patna you will then transfer to your hotel for your night’s stay in Patna.

Day 6: Patna-Vaishali-Kushinagar
Your next day in Patna in the morning after taking breakfast you will then drive to a place called Kushinagar where Buddha attained Mahaparmirvana. You see several ruins while en route such as Mukutbandham Stupa that is an elegant statue of Buddha. From there you will get to visit Vaisahali. You will then check into a hotel in Kushinagar for your night’s stay.

Day 7: Kushinagar-Lumbini
On the morning on your seventh after taking breakfast you will visit Mahaparinivana Temple and Stupas and then later drive to Lumbini and book a hotel there. Lumbini is certainly the place where Buddha was born and it took 1,500 years for this place to be located in 1890. In the evening you could go and visit the place where Lord Buddha was born at night you resign to your hotel in Lumbini.

Day 8: Lumbini-Sravasti
The next morning from Lumbini after having your breakfast you will then drive to Lucknow en route to Sravasti. Sravasti was the capital of the ancient kingdom of Kosala and the kingdom is honored for showing hospitality to Lord Buddha by sheltering him for 24 rainy seasons in the Jetvana Gardens. Sravasti which according to mythology was founded by king Sravast features age-old stupas, majestic monasteries and several temples. Buddha is said to have performed some miracles here. YUou will also get to visit Saheth, Maheth and Jetvan. You will spend the night in Sravasti.

Day 9: Sravasti-Lucknow-Delhi (By Train)
After taking your breakfast you will leave Sravasti to Lucknow and then transfer to the railway station to board the air-conditioned train for Delhi. On your arrival in Delhi you will be picked up from the railway station and transferred to your hotel where you will spend your night.

Day 10: Departure from Delhi
In the morning after having your breakfast you leave your hotel to tour Delhi and you will get to see how Delhi is beautiful. New Delhi has ornate buildings that recall the days that India was the Jewel in the crown of the Elaborate British Empire. You will then proceed to visit the 11th century Qutar Minar, India Gate and the grand government buildings, the President’s House, and Mahatma Gandhi Memorial. You should also not leave India without visiting Laxmi Narayan temple popularly known as Birla Temple.

In the evening you will then proceed to the airport for your flight to your next destination.
